Ghostlightning’s Turn A… Finalization
From a pile of sprue trees:

Finalizing kits entails a lot of sanding. It is an important step whether you would be painting it fully or just panel lining.
In addition to the previous tips mentioned in this build journal, remember that when you are sanding, it is always best to start with the coarser ones down to the finest ones you plan to use.
When finishing a surface, I usually start with 300 or 400 grit then continue on to the finer ones, sometimes finishing with a 1000 grit sandpaper.
Depending on the type of surface you want to achieve, sanding makes a kit surface even and greaseless, readying your kit further prior to painting.
Besides surface prep, fine grit sandpapers can also be used to minimize orange peeling. However, if you don’t want your painting get messed up like this, avoid using your air brush on humid days or get yourself a dry painting booth.
After the major paint job being done, remember to spray it with a top coat so the colors can last longer.
Thanks for dropping by. Till next build journal. Here are some more photos, enjoy!
