Calling All Bloggirls!

As of post time, there had already been 38 Responses at Itsubun’s sign up page, 37 responses over at Usagijen’s Announcement and 27 responses at Itsubun’s entry at THAT. I have been hovering around the blogosphere but I never really thought of myself as a writer. True, I love to write and rant about nothing and everything, but all those things just seemed to be for my own eyes until I saw what the girls were up to.

I have been lurking in their blogs (usagijen’s and Itsubun’s) and after reading their call, it seemed to me that their points are valid.

I have been on blogging hiatus forever and the only things that you would find in my other blogs, in case one actually stumbled upon them, are rants about my annoying boss, my male best friend’s new girl and plastic modeling.

My tastes may have been a little bit on the masculine side, they say, but I tell you, dude, I’m 100% all-girl! This Round Robin thing seems to promise a lot of fun that I made yet another blog for this and perhaps, I’d finally find my niche in this wide wired world.

It is pretty clear that the boys usually have a better network than the girls do. It is time for the girls to start that network, meet and mingle with each other and have some fun.

Should any other girl get to read this, I’m telling you that it is time for the girls’ voices to be heard louder than how they are being heard today. If you have a blog, go to the sign up page and post a little comment there that you would be joining the fun.

If you are keen on helping out, blogs are not limited to be a one-(wo)man show. It could be a lot of fun if you work with your BFF(s) and simply throw in a thought or two together.

That’s where it starts and eventually, you’d find you are already babbling through

without you even noticing.

It is therapeutic. Imagine, you get to talk about what interests you without being cut off. This is what got me to come out of the lurk mode and perhaps, start anew.

So, to the initiators, finish the guidelines ladies, and let’s get the ball rolling!

This is KaeBoo, signing in.

Nooooooo.

You finally got a blog going. But…holy crap, I totally thought you were a guy. If this isn’t some devious plot, I phail.

Also, it might just be me, but none or you images show up. (except the banner)

@Riex… sorry, dude. This isn’t some devious plan. I’m a girl. :D Oh, and I have the photos fixed, as you can see. :)

@itsubun… Thanks. You’re the first one to comment on my blog.

Well, if it’s no devious ploy, then sweet! I think the women that read my blog are starting to outnumber the men. <.<

And yes indeed, the pictures have been fixed. And there’s a kitten!

You like models?

YAY I love you! I got forbidden from buying Gundam because Hubby knew once I started I wouldn’t be able to stop.

I’ve had bad luck with models over the years though. We moved house and the builders destroyed my model of the Enterprise from Star Trek The Motion Picture. It was so cool too. It lit up, made warp, phasers and photon torpedo sounds.

They separated the saucer section clean off of the main body. And that wasn’t supposed to happen on that model! Now if it had been the Enterprise-D that would have been a different story. My brother broke a warp nacelle of of that model.

Sigh, then my mother destroyed the canopy on my motorized x-wing.

Took me ages to make sure I had that wired up right too.

So I stopped with the models. And then a few years ago Hubby-sama got me a snap together model of Burning Gundam. And after seeing me put it together in a matter of hours with only Japanese instructions, decided I wasn’t allowed any more kits.

I guess he could see the happy light of glee in my eyes.

But I still find them fun to look at, and we sort of collect figures. Although Wing Gundam on my desk at work is getting his serious lean on. His joints are getting too loose.

Pity he looked cool too.

Nice blog ^-^

@Sakura

So sad about that enterprise. :(
The plamo genre that I am into so far is mostly on mechas and some modern aircrafts. It is usually Gundam and Macross mechas that I get to work with… Just the HG stuff, not the big ones.

I have a 1/144 Wing decorating my room… Terrain colors at the bottom and airforce colors at the top.

The joints can be reinforced. try applying a coat or two of hobby paint around the polycap. It would tighten a bit. :)
